Exploring the canyons and juniper forests of Central Oregon in search of nesting pairs of Bald Eagles. From my position atop a rimrock canyon along the lower Crooked River, I'm able to unobtrusively photograph eagles and their nests. Here a female Bald eagle is bathed in sunlight, as she fluffs herself against the morning chill. Deschutes County, Oregon high desert.
