Lobster Mushroom on the Menu

Lobster Mushroom on the Menu

From: $53.00

Both edible and delectable, the so-called ‘Lobster Mushroom’ is actually the product of a species of mold (Hypomyces Lactifluorum) parasitizing an otherwise unpalatable Short-stemmed White Russula (Russula brevipes). The resulting amalgamation yields a crunchy textured mushroom with delicate flavor which melds well with herbs when sauteed with garlic and butter.
