Soft light and calm waters at Waldo Lake makes for a perfect morning at one of my favorite places in Oregon. Waldo Lake offers excellent opportunities for paddle sports such as kayak, canoe, and SUP. While Waldo Lake is officially designated as non-motorized (excepting electric motors), it is a popular destination for trailered sailboats and hobby cats. Throughout the snow-free months, mosquitoes are an extreme nuisance at Waldo Lake and can make camping here difficult at best. Willamette National Forest, Central Oregon Cascades.
